Understanding the Selflessness of Consciousness

The Buddha laid out pretty clearly what the causes were for consciousness to arise. We see that all that there is is this progression of knowing an object, knowing an object. It gives a real taste of the selflessness of consciousness because we see that it's actually arising and passing in each moment. This is one way into beginning our understanding of not being identified with knowing, not creating a no error.
