Is Humanitarian Aid a Failure?
Human rights watch accused international humanitarian agencies of sharing improperly collected information about rhinga refugees with the mianma government without appropriate consent. Targeted identification of persecuted peoples have long been a tactic of genicidal regimes, but now that data is digitized, meaning it is faster to access and more readily accessible. "How can we ensure that we do not lock people into future harm, future indebtedness and future iniquity as a result of these actions? It is why i now study the ethics of humanitarian te innovation," says Wut.
