Part of my journey in becoming a pastor was because I became so aware of the spiritual reality that goes on around us all the time" There's many, many, many stories of people waking up and being paralyzed, having a sleep paralysis and then seeing the figure standing at the foot of the bed. The overwhelming majority of people who have this experience also feel there's like a strong sense of emotion that comes with the experience. They feel fear, they feel dread, they feel paralyzed.
