Revel is a group that claims to have carried out more than 2,000 hacking attacks in the past year. They are known for their use of ransom ware which allows them to collect money from victims and then pass it on to affiliates. As many as 60 different philiats were using their ransom ware at any one time - this could explain the huge number of epic ransomware attacks last year.
