The most insidious and awful thought of all is these techniques won't work for me so I'm not even going to try the stuff works for other people. If you're struggling with that like if your mood state is keeping you from being able to view things objectively do some reality testing have a little experiment where you're like okay so I feel like this isn't going to work out but what happens when I try it just so that you can begin to compile evidence.
