When you got to Cambridge, was it a struggle to fit in? Because that idea of having come from Stockport and being aware of your social standing in life. And then getting to Cambridge, which is this incredibly elite institution, what was that like? Well, it was exactly as you say. It was quite hard to fit in. I still had a Stockport accent, which I struggled to dispose of. What was later pointed out to me was a sort of shameless snobbery.
