A lot of the new packs are using buckles made out of metal now. The thing that I really don't like is all the different designs of plastic buckles today. Some just don't go together, you know, designers said, well, we can't use that anymore. We have to make our own. That's not as good. Or the one he has on his climbing helmet has the magnet with the idea that it clicks together. And then as soon as you lay it down, if it's in sand, it picks up all the little metal things. It's impossible to clean.
