In a world where you're not sure what type of person i am, here is the kind of reasoning we could go through. Well, it's the first period i'm rational, but you florian don't know that i am rational for certain. And then at some point co operation might break down because we're too close to the end. And if i am rational, then that's when i'm going to try to screw you over. So that introduced a very interesting idea that people, in their behaviour, could imitate types of people and there or build a reputation. However, there was still some freedom in how to choose these starting points.
