Paul O'Connell is the founder and chief executive of Renatus. He says he always wanted to set up his own business but it just didn't happen. After a career in accountancy, he joined Alan Byrne's senior management team at Racing Post. The newspaper has since gone from hero to zero according to Mr O'Connell. 'It was quite a journey and Brendan who was Brendan Trainer, my co-founder and partner in Renatus, we knew a lot of people,' he said.
