The Secret of Cobal Mines in Congo

Most of the mines in congo are now regulated and under the control of large mining companies based in england and china. But simon says that, by the most recent estimate, there are still more than a hundred thousand informal miners in the region. And i went down one of these mine shafts to try and get an understanding of what it's like down there. I don't know if any foreigner has done that before. It was not, it was quite a scaryn experience, to be honest. The ground level of casilo is about 12 meters overhead. A lot of the pits here and much deeper, actually. Some of them go to 20 or 30 meters deep.
