The Origins of the Great Influenza Epidemic

The first reports that we have in the US about influenza actually are well documented. And they originate in Haskell County in southwest rural Kansas, 200 miles west of Wichita. The disease quickly spread outwards about 300 miles to the east to Camp Funston where there was a US army camp. So three possibilities, ground zero, was right here in the good old US of A. It was in Northern France, it was possibly in China.
