The Importance of Emotional Engagement in Teaching
Every kid needs structure, routine and predictability. Nobody thrives in chaos apart from predators who prey on the weak. I'm always going to make sure that in this classroom, you're treated with dignity. Because you matter. You matter to me. Your success matters to me. And because these things matter to me, these are the rules of the routines and the processes that we're all going to do with one another. That's a rising tide that lifts all ships.
