Tolkin's Story of the Lord of the Rings

Tolkin was careful not to be teaching theology in his works. He would say that that's a a product of every good story, not just his. But he very much says the point of writing any fairy story is to at least allude to the fact that there was one of these stories that was actually true, it actually happened.
