In people whose pancreas works perfectly well they will be able to detect this rise in blood glucose the pancreas will produce more insulin and just the right amount of insulin to bring the glucose back down again so typically on average in a reasonably athletic slim healthy person blood glucose might get to an average of like 7.5 to 7.8 millimoles per liter at 30 minutes but then it calms back down again and is back to normal by two hours.
