Progressives and Devote Conservatives Are the Most Influential in American Politics

Progressive activists and devoted conservatives are the most influential in American politics. They have an outsize role, or outsize voice, in american politics. Many of us don't see any other way of engaging politics meaningfully outside of choosing one of those two sides. Those of us who refuse to defend end or support one of those sides at all times are considered unserious or timid.
