I think it's easy to dunk on Carvana. There are legitimate reasons to do that. This was also a case where you saw the growth story come apart in a number of ways and they were really focusing on that. They acquired a used car wholesaler called Adessa with an already stretched balance sheet, they took on another $3 billion worth of debt. I know they got into trouble with a couple of states simply because they weren't able to process their own paperwork fast enough to certify title.
Just because a stock lost 98% of its value doesn’t mean it's cheap. Sometimes the market becomes efficient.
