I think we're a long way off from ever wanting to give rights to machines. We may always take a species approach, which is that the only creatures that deserve rights are humans. I talk about this famous portrait that was created by these three French guys who call themselves obvious and they have an AI generated portrait that they sold at Christie's for some $430,000 or so. They put it forth as the first AI generated painting. To me, the artwork there was actually much more a piece of conceptual art.
