What's Next for California's Health Care Workers?
Most health care workers in the bay area are people of color. What they would lose if their work was to be quot gigfied is job security and benefits that come with being ployee, you know, paid sickly workers compensation. This could go beyond just nursing or health care. There are dventure capitalists out there who have talked about applying the gig work model to lots of different industries. The backers of this initiative could possibly pull out all the stocps and throw everything at it where the voters may not realize what they're voting for.
