Sally Kohn: Religion and spirituality have attempted to make room for the shadow parts of who we are, because we can't deny them. She says that as an ego salve, they have things like a propitiatory sacrifice which is supposed to cover it all over. We see bad behaviors constantly in our society, she says. And i'm realizing now that we should probably talk about what we should do when we come into contact with this part of us ore ore ourselves.
