The Importance of Constraints in Regulation
I worried that I get a bit of a deja vu feeling from the era of tech regulation. And in fact, you can name your industry over the last 30, 40 years. It always seems like company execs will come out and say, "Oh, we really want regulation" But then behind the scenes, they tend to work to lobby against regulation. So how do you get them to agree on constraints? We need to have things that are actually meaningful.
