Brandon's Tress of the Emerald Sea

The final book in a series is always the hardest because he is constrained by all of the plot points that have come before. He really achieves that classic fairy tale feel without it being, you know, cliches. And there's a lightness, a joy that comes through in this sort of whimsical narrative style which is really refreshing and fun to read.
