The Importance of Optionality in Business
Ferrari was making less than 150 million a year when I made the investment. When we bought Fiat Chrysler, for example, in 2012, I was just looking at this as a car business with a great CEO who was going to write the ship. And that says, we'll open up brand new things that you never imagined. We're not part of the model. Like Starbucks starts reserved. So there's more higher end on the coffee or even started serving alcohol,. But it's also richly priced.
