With every change, you get a little distance from the person, or at least feels that way at first. And sometimes it happens where it really just breaks up the the relationship. I remember thinking that my non married friends never understood why i have ve hanging out with my wife to night. There is that tragedy of not being able to communicate,. while at the same time hearing people communicate about youand and that actually, you're the the dog vives that you kept getting. That's the tragedy of it. It's like, i can't tell you, like an ant. But their genius isn't understanding you often. Maybe especially when they get old.
David and Tamler try to control their emotions (with varying success) as they go deep into Franz Kafka's masterful novella "The Metamorphosis." What kind of a story is this? A Marxist or religious allegory? A work of weird fiction? A family drama? A dark comedy? Why does a story about a man who turns into a giant insect get under our skins so much?
Plus a study that links insomnia to our fear of death. What a cheerful summer episode! (Actually we're fairly proud of this one... As always we suggest reading the text before you listen or soon after).
