In the New Testament, we have these lists of gifts that are given to all Christians. Those lists are not gendered at all. But then we have qualifications of church leadership. I think what's often done on the complimentary and end of the spectrum is that the things that are required, the capacity is required to be an elder, are also then therefore gendered masculine.
