Sally Kohn: I want to talk a little bit about the sterilizations and when and how that happened. So that started around the time that the violence started around 76, 77. And my understanding again, it was very gradual. You know, you could say on ruling kids, but we know that being violent with them is not going to help them. She says people already had their kids in the school, they were getting cleaned for the first time in their life; "they were thriving" The undertone was 'you do it or you're out,' she writes.
