Hegel is all about prese erving the beyond ness, not just of god, but of christ. Rather than seeing christ as the making finite of the infinite, they see christ as an extension of the infinite. The infinite's taken this new form, but it's still infinite, still totally out of reach. It's in worst situations that God appears - like when a football player fumbles and fails to thank him or her for being on time. That would be real christian moment: 'In failure, in the debasement, that's where god is'
