The Hand That Rocks the Cradle
In a 1991 academic article mostly on presumed innocent called, She Was Bad News, male paranoia in the contemporary new woman was connected to post-feminism. The hand that rocks a cradle was in some sense an embodiment of this conflict, but it was also old hat. Some women in the early 90s participated in the backlash, choosing a post-feminist worldview over aligning themselves with a version of feminism they felt policed or judged by.
