The Tensions Within the Civil Service
The civil service has always had a sort of corporate mindset and a corporate culture. It doesn't have the same views necessarily as certainly elected politicians. So it's not like there's a settled consensus within even politics, even from those parts of it that don't change. Then when you look at something like journalism, like journalism until sort of about 10, 15 years ago, which is kind of relatively working class. But all of this stuff is in such tumult and change. And there's these odd tensions within it that it's quite hard to believe in really.
