Pani's Journey Through the Misty Hillside Villages
Pani and her husband fled to miama's mountainous border regions in an area controlled by one of many ethnic armed organizations. The isolated villages have spent decades being ravaged by war. Roads are often blocked by conflict, so food and supply shortages are common. For panis, after yangon's tropical climate and low lying streets, carrying icy buckets of well water was a new experience.
