The Importance of Words in UX

UXers are aware of the fact that words matter. But I rarely see, like, as the definition of done or when you're testing, that you also go through the wording of stuff to actually make sure it comes across in a good way. So writers call something introduction. That's what we call as designers onboarding. What they call the rough draft, we call the mock. Protagonist user, obviously. Well, writers have been doing this for thousands of years. Someone writes a manuscript and somebody else helps edit it. It's called iterating. We're just not connected with each other because we're not using the same words.
