Beethoven's Musical Succession of Mozart

By the time beethoven had made this second trip to vienna, sadly, mozart was already dead. But it didn't take long for people to sit up and take notice of his incredible musical skill. Beethoven took a long time to consider his work ready to be properly published. And so he kept a lot of initial compositions to himself or shared them only with a very few people. Finally, in 17 95, he released his first published work that included what's known as an opus number which made it the beginning of his official published catalogue. He wrote three piano trios, and here's a listen to one of them now.
