I think a major trend that I think was not so obvious to the world back then it was you know obvious to anybody around here paying attention is that Y Combinator. The cloud compute that was being built out with Amazon and GCP was enabling a whole new class of of an entrepreneur who's often more technical more experimental and can push something out quickly to try things. That idea resonated with a lot of people and so I was going to demo days and seeing lots of examples of people who were Building new things, many of which didn't work but some of which worked a little bit.
