What's the Point of Creative Writing?
In your lightbox poetry interview you say creative writing can be taught but that part of it is just giving a damn. You share an antidote about Ticknott Han where he asks audience members to turn to the person next to them hug them and introduce themselves to each other then after that he asks them to do it again but this time first really holding within themselves that they're both gonna die. The book opens with the hyper enjammed poem America that feels strangled in a in a corset of sorts but ends in a way that is wildly open that feels electric with danger as if the speaker or the writer has left the page now to go do some unspecified thing off of the page.
