The Station Fire

A makeshift memorial had been constructed at the site where the club used to be. At least half of the more than 200 injured in the fire did not have health insurance. Many rhode islanders viewed this as an act of revenge by george w. Bush and the republicans against a state that always voted blue. Out of necessity, survivors and volunteers organized relief funds to help victims meet their daily needs.
