Maximian's Death and the Death of Constantine

At some point in july of three ten maximian did the right thing and hanged himself. He was about 60 years old, and not so very long ago, had been a successful emperor for 20 years. But now, rather than dying a hero to the empire, he died instead a broken disgrace. The most immediate impact of maximian's death was that it drove a wedge between maxentius and constantine.
