Is Bart Right?

When I taught Bart, I kind of moved organically from his actualistic motif to the particularistic motif. He is a liberal critic of the Bible,. of the highest order, and I'll illustrate it. But he says explicitly that if we begin with Genesis 1-1 in the scriptural witness to revelation, we have to recognize it is a corrupted conglomeration of pagan mythologies. It drives him to say that in place of the corrupted cosmology, we need to find recourse to the Word of God as revelation.
