The Importance of Efficiency in Control Systems
The capacity needs to be the same for both input and output considered as a whole. We are still assuming that the criterion is an efficient system. The common case in which, for example, the transmission channels by their nature degrade the information they pass will be different. Here, we shall need a greater amount of input data that can actually be used and the surplus can be employed to offset degradation in the channel. It goes through the example of discriminating the letters of the alphabash and it's like, right, it's all fairly straightforward to us.
