What Are Your Early Early Jokes?

Steve Martin's early stand-up was that he wanted things to be funny, but you never knew exactly why they were funny. I have a tape of my fourth time on stage in Ottawa where I started and it was all awful. You just see these terrible jokes because everybody's first jokes are terrible. And so I think that would help a comic, you know, instead of when they read like, "I was Steve Martin's first bit"
