Gene Hackman and Arthur Penn were shooting the movie Night Moves at Kaufman's house. The film is about two friends who take a coffin ran back to Hollywood from a traffic stop where they got into an accident. They left the hearse behind, not their hearse by mind you. Keith Richards' death hit the headlines in the local papers, rock stars body burned in bizarre desert ritual. It didn't take long for cops to figure it out.
