Bitcoin - The Best Tool for Money
What made gold good money is that people consensually selected it as the right tool for the job. If you could trust human nature, if we weren't sinful, corruptible creatures, gold-backed currency would work great. Bitcoin is perfectly durable in the sense that it's just distributed information. You can burn as many physical copies of the Bible as you want, but that will do nothing to destroy the Bible itself.
