What Is Republicanism?

In republicanism, the view of liberty starts from the principle of non dominationta any citizen has a right not to be dominated by another authority. So equality is really important to republicanism, understood in this way. But it's an equality that is harmonious with liberty, with freedom. To be free in that way, i can't be overly dependent on some one else, or on, even in the classical mode, even on sort of material needs. There's a kind of eledism this implied, at least in the classical version of republicanismd i think there are elements of that in the fountand we can talk about that.
