Since the protests in the mass aminee happened in September so many people have been reaching out to me half Iranians full Iranians saying you know I thought that part of me was like behind me but now all of a sudden I feel so Iranian. It's stunning how visceral this reaction was and you saw it play out in real time, she says. "We realized that maybe for decades we marched along and lived our cute little lives or our terrible lives but we pushed away that connection"
