Open RAN and the Telecommunications Market

Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung have almost an 80% market share in the RAN business. Now open RAN allows someone to buy different modular components from different vendors and put them together - they should be able to run it. This is supposed to allow people with a skill set who can do one particular thing to make a product out of that. And that should seamlessly integrate with other components from other vendors.
