Editing a Movie - The Real Change
Movies used to come in reels of about 10 or sometimes you know well twice as far if you had a really big movie and during the movie you would do a real change. The idea is that when the projectionist sees the blip the projectionist changes the reels okay so this has always been for editors a dilemma a dilemma because basically what you're doing is you're leaving the editing up to the projectionist yeah. It doesn't matter it's like a sloppy cut or a hard cut or an indistinct cut by a couple of frames like because you're leaving it really up to somebody else mostly people are trying to just mitigate the damage that a projectionist can make
