How Do Mating Markets Work?
A mating market is just a local set of single men and single women who are potentially interested in meeting each other. The more women there are, the better the odds are for you. A favorable sex ratio is defined as the ratio of males to females in a breeding population. You're probably way better off in a city of a million or two million than you are a city of 10,000 or 20,000.
