The Importance of Islam in Modernity
Islam is an alternative to modernity that isn't a militant or a shouty alternative but a therapeutic alternative. The whole western intellectual Muslim tradition is basically skeptical about the claims of modernity from Ivan Aguelli to Knudbermsdram, Henry Bayman Lex Hickson they're all kind of saying a modern world is a Dionysian frenzy of meaninglessness. Islam is really the best position in which to situate yourself if you are an eco warrior of some kind and where you really have to see yourself as an adversary.
