Is There a Difference Between the Aristocracy and the Romance?

A lot of the emotional beats hit for people today, even though they are not upper middle class. Because most people can relate to some sort of straining against your social situation. There's actually a scene in this book that tackles that kind of head on from a fiction perspective and I'll go into a little bit of what I was struck by.
