Democracy, the Enabler of the Transition From Alism to Socialism

Democracy has not, for the most part, been the enabler of the transition from alism to socialism. Shombuta thought went ther in capitalist economics. But what he didn't say, but could well have done, is they also seem to go together in democratic politics. That just in a democratic system, when you think the competition has died, they are all the same. They're set in their ways. Just at that point something changes. Even under schimpeter's minimal definition, that version of democracy probably still has some life in it.
