This year, hawkins published his second book, a thousand brains, a new theory of intelligence. Hawkins believes that columnar neurons are actually building these reference frames and storing kowledge about the world. The base idea is that there are thousands of models being simultaneously created throughout the cortex. These are creating predictions about what will happen as we move through the world.
