How to Make Your Story Robust
A lot of my published short stories are about somebody who is facing a culture that is the enemy. But during COVID and the resurgence of Black Lives Matter, part of what I started thinking was: What am I saying does dismantle the master's house? That isn't what I would necessarily want to be saying. And so some of the stories that I'm working on now are more about people having differing opinions about how to accomplish the same goal. It won't feel like you're just preaching to us.
